Auto Insurance

Choosing the right auto insurance policy can get you back on the road quickly in the event of an accident, fire, theft, or other covered event. Your auto insurance policy can also help with medical and legal expenses resulting from injury, loss of life, or property damage caused by an accident involving your vehicle.

We insure motorcycles, classic cars, motor homes, RVs, boats, Jet Skis, and ATVs too.

What is auto insurance?

An auto insurance policy is a contract between you and an insurance company. You pay an agreed upon premium and, in exchange, the insurance company agrees to pay for specific vehicle-related financial losses during the term of the policy.

What type of coverage do I need?

Auto insurance requirements vary by state. Because we’re based in Canby, Oregon, we understand the specific needs of our customers.

In most states, you are required to carry the following coverages:

  • Liability Coverage—pays for losses you cause others, or;
  • No-Fault Coverage—pays you and your passengers for medical and related expenses caused by injuries from a car accident, regardless of who is at fault, or;
  • Both Coverages

Even if a state doesn’t require coverage, a driver must be able to pay for losses they cause others. Auto insurance is the easiest way to meet this requirement.

What coverage do I need to finance a car?

If you’re planning to finance a vehicle, you’ll need to purchase insurance to cover damages to the vehicle. This includes the following:

Collision Insurance
Collision insurance coverage pays for damages to you vehicle in the event of an accident. This type of coverage usually includes a deductible, the amount of money you pay toward repairs before your collision insurance kicks in. The higher the deductible you’re willing to pay, the lower you collision coverage will cost.

Comprehensive Insurance (Other than Collision)
Comprehensive insurance covers damages to your vehicle caused by any unknown party or “Act of God.” This type of insurance coverage can apply to vandalism, floods, hurricanes, theft, windshield damage, and fire. Like collision, comprehensive will pay up to the fair market value of your car.
